Winton Gibbons is a consultant focused on market assessment, business development, strategy, and new product innovation. His background is unique, as it merges experience as a top-tier consultant with McKinsey, as a partner with investment bank William Blair, and as an executive in industry as a VP with Roche Diagnostics, and SVP roles with various mid-sized diagnostic and life science firms.
Most recently, Winton completed four projects for a major diversified life science firm. These included assessment of adjacent service and product markets, support for divisional strategic planning, and a 5-year analysis and synthesis of key initiatives. Other recent engagements included an assessment of the physician office laboratory market for a top 3 medical device firm, and development of a companion diagnostics assessment and deployment process for a top 5 biopharma firm.
He has also conducted numerous engagements and executive counseling for early- and mid-stage in-vitro diagnostic and life science firms.

Winton’s most recent industry position was as Senior Vice President for Corporate Development at Agena Bioscience, which makes genetic testing equipment. For the clinical diagnostic and life science fields, I have also been a senior leader at Roche, Merck, Biosite, Siloam Bioscience, and Nanosphere.
